Find a pattern that you like and hire me to make the gown.  Here are a few websites that may be helpful in deciding what styles you want.  Or you can go to your local fabric, quilting or heirloom shop and browse the patterns and fabrics there.  Prices for gowns vary greatly, depending on the kind of fabric you are using and the details involved.  Heirloom gowns are the most costly because of the techniques and time it takes to make one.  But they are also the most treasured.

You know that wedding gown you've stored away thinking that, one day, your daughter(s) will wear it?  Deep down, you know that chances are, they are going to want their own wedding gown.  All that money you invested, all that beautiful fabric, laces, beads and trims.   So, here's the solution.   Let them wear it now.
Have it made into a Christening/Blessing gown or romper.   It will be cherished and passed down through  generations so the wedding gown will continue to live on.  And to make sure that it does, when you pack the Christening gown away for the first time, make sure you include photos of the wedding gown and the transformation into Christening Gown.  It will make it that much more precious to future generations.
