HOURS OF OPERATION & Other Information

Monday .... 10am - 6pm
Tuesday .... No Appointments
Wednesday ... 10am - 7pm
Thursday .... 10am - 6pm
Friday ... 10am - 4pm
The Thread Hut is Closed on the following dates:
November 9 - 11, November 22 (Thanksgiving)
December 21 - 27 (Christmas)
Saturday Appointments
10am - 2pm
I rarely schedule appointments for Sundays. This is my one day off and a family day for me. I will only schedule you if there are no other options and if I am going to be in my shop. If the hours above do not work for you, I will do my best to accomodate your needs by setting a special appointment time for you.

Everyone has to have an appointment. Including those picking up work that I've already done. I do my best to avoid overlaps, but occassionally they will occur. I understand that things happen and you may find yourself running late. Just give me a call to let me know so that I can adjust my schedule accordingly. Sometimes I may have to ask you to come later that day or re-schedule for another day if there is another client, or more, who have been scheduled right after your appointment. Showing up early has the same issues as coming late. You may come early thinking you'll get in earlier and find that there is a client already here. If this happens, I may have to ask you to wait outside my shop till the client I am with leaves. I believe that everyone deserves my full attention and privacy.
Regarding small children. Unless you are bringing a child for a fitting, I ask that you leave your littles ones at home. My studio is small and has many hazards that small children always seem to find. (The stray pins on the floor, a cutting blade, scissors, sharp tools, etc.) If I am working with you, it is difficult for either of us to keep an eye on your child and trying to do so makes for an ineffective visit for you. As I'm located on the water, I cannot allow children to roam freely on my property without adult supervision. These same rules apply to my own grandchildren when they come to visit. It is for their own safety and the sanity of their parents (& grandparents).
