Clothing prices just keep going up and you've already made the investment in quality clothing, why not bring it out of it's holding tank and put it back in your wardrobe?

We all have a few treasured garments that we can not find it within ourselves to part with. They are still in good shape - because they were good quality pieces to begin with. But, for one reason or another, we can't wear them anymore. I will help you to revamp those beloved items by performing "surgery" to adjust them to fit you, fix any flaws or just update them to give a new look. You may have some ideas of your own. It doesn't cost anything to set up an appointment with me to discuss what your options are.

Recycle it!

All over neighborhoods women are getting together these days to exchange clothing. Some are doing it on a very informal basis - just a few friends or family - while others are actually having "events" - all your friends, women from your neighborhood that you may not even know - it's an excuse to get together, meet new people, just have fun. All you have to do is scour your wardrobe for pieces that you know you will never wear again -for whatever reason. Maybe they just don't fit anymore or they are styles that you feel you will never wear again. But they are still in good shape and deserve a second chance. And you need some new duds yourself but there's no allowance in your budget for them. We are all trying to do whatever we can to make ends meet, even if it means giving up our shopping excursions. But you still have to look and feel good. So, call all your friends & family members. Make it a BIG event or small one. Everyone brings their garments (& a side dish, bottle of wine, etc.) to the party and let the party begin. You may or may not need my services at this point. You may get very lucky and end up with something that fits and works perfectly fine for you. But chances are that you are going to need some kind of refashioning / alteration(s) done.

This is where I come in. You can either invite me to your clothing exchange event or you can just hand out my business cards. If I come to your event (no charge for this service as I see it as a business opportunity), I can advise you what your options are for the garment(s) you are acquiring. I can set up appointments on the spot for anyone who wants to take advantage of my services. Or appointments can be made at your leisure later down the road - just take a card and give me a call. Either way, it's a win-win situation for everyone. And you'll have fun while you're doing it.

This clothing exchange party is really great for kids clothing too. Most of them don't need be altered, so there's no additional cost involved. But if they do need some attention, I can take care of that as well.
